My manager at eLighters asked me if I was interested in a event photography job. One of his good friends was turning 40 years old and having a birthday party to celebrate. I accepted the job and hoped for the best since this was my first paid event photography job. In the past, I only photographed my cousin’s weddings for fun but I never took on a paid event photography job. It was an interesting experience and taught me the importance of scoping out the area and bringing extra flash power especially as the sun starts to set.
