Grapevine Mills Mall

Located two miles north of the DFW airport, Grapevine Mills Mall is easily accessible by motorists looking for a shopping center with large variety.

I have actually been able to see the mall from a plane just before landing! This goes to show just how massive this mall is.  With over 180 retail outlet stores covering 1.6 million square feet, Grapevine Mills Mall is the Goliath of the DFW shopping industry.

People from all ages can find something to do here. You can watch a movie at the AMC 30 movie theater, dine at the western-themed food court, play all day at the arcade or create your own stuffed animal at the Build-A-Bear Workshop.

This mall is a very family friendly. This can definitely be seen in the large number of strollers being wheeled around and the vast amount of children running alongside them.  My advice would be to visit during a weekday.  The weekends bring large crowds of people and it is hard to navigate around them without nearly colliding.

Apart from the packed weekends, Grapevine Mills Mall is one that should be visited at least once to see what all the hype is about. The way the economy is going, this mall is the ideal place for the savvy shopper due to its outlet department stores such as Neiman Marcus Last Call Clearance Center and OFF Saks Fifth Avenue.

After shopping smart, head over to the Rainforest Cafe.  The plates are a tad overpriced, but you pay for the atmosphere.  Massive fish tanks, animated elephants and gorillas, hanging ivy and fog machines make up for this fun jungle theme.

After a long day of shopping it feels good to head home. The hard part is remembering where you parked!
