Stonebriar Centre

At the corner of Preston Road and Highway 121, Stonebriar Centre offers entertainment for the entire family and over 160 stores for shoppers.

Stonebriar Centre is more of a family-oriented mall. The 1.6 million square foot shopping mall contains six major department stores, a 24-screen movie theater, an NHL size ice skating rink and many more attractions catered to both children and adults.

Hit the Shops

Walking through the mall, there are many stores to explore. The variety of shops ranges from many specialty stores to popular women’s apparel.

Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Dillard’s are just some of the department stores located in the mall. The only new store added to the mall recently was Vans. This summer, a store sure to capture children’s attention will be Lego.

Need a break from shopping? You can order coffee or your favorite drink at one of the three Starbucks in the mall. If you love to read, I recommend the Starbucks on the second floor of Barnes and Nobles. Not in the mood for a drink? There are plenty restaurants and eateries throughout the mall.

Entertainment and Dining

Eat at The Cheesecake Factory, Bucca di Beppo and many more restaurants for a nice sit-down meal with your family and friends. Need a quick bite to eat? The food court has plenty of eateries including Sonic, Chick-fil-A, Sbarro, Manchu Wok and Paradise Cafe.

For entertainment for the entire family, eat at Dave and Busters then travel downstairs to play a variety of games. If you are interested in fitness, you can climb the rock wall at Dick’s Sporting Goods.

History of Stonebriar Centre

In the late 1980s, Frisco government leaders decided to build a shopping mall to increase revenue for the city. The builder planned to put a million square foot mall in Frisco. At the time, there were approximately 6,000 people living in the city.

Plano was upset when they learned of Frisco's plans to build a mall right across their city limits. Plano offered the builder more money to move the mall within their district. Over the years, Frisco and Plano fought over plans to build the mall. Frisco eventually won the battle. On August 4, 2000, Stonebriar Centre opened.
